script: intro: hi my name is ashley! I recently took up a lead role in a movie called blurred lines today I’m gonna be telling you all about it in the form of a draw my life trend from a few years ago q1: All right that’s me a racing my intro. onto the first question, during this film how did me and my costars challenge conventions? well we definitely broke a lot of gender norms so this is me drawing a sad little girl and a big strong man saying that he’s better and I’m sad but in our movie our lead role was a very strong woman who loved her job and was very committed to solving a case. we also had lots of diversity in this cast. this is me drying out all the different types of people we had. there’s me, i’m irish and mexican, and then Sabrina she’s european, and then Celine, she’s hispanic, and then also mikey, he’s part of the lgbtq+ community. this is me pointing out some of the main challenges that we face including a strong female lead as the main character, and also having someone part of the LGBTQ community play more of a masculine male role. q2: all right now I’m drawing out different ways that our movie is going to engage with different types of age groups there’s me drawing a pretty scary looking teenager and then also the adults because it’s kind of a little scary so more towards like older teenagers and then like any more above that but mostly teens. now this movie was produced through bucket hat productions here’s me butchering our logo, we’re gonna do a lot of promotion on social media so TikTok, hopefully we get word-of-mouth through Snapchat and lots of Instagram too. listen these are awful drawings but you get the point oh this is me drawing a lovely picture of two people seeing her advertisement and loving it then going to see the movie. There it is up and it’s theater glory blurred lines so lovely picture of a theater from me. after it premiered in theaters we ended up signing a deal with Netflix so it’s available to watch there as well as YouTube TV that was pretty cool too q3: ok ok here is me drawing how much I’ve progressed with a bunch of different things through this project. First when we were storyboarding kind of jotting down ideas they were awful, so bad. but then towards the end got a lot better and it got more fun to do as well. Are you searching was also pretty tough for me to stay focused and kind of enjoying the beginning because I was pretty fresh didn’t have any ideas honestly I thought it was kind of boring and I didn’t see the need of it then towards the end of the project I really got into it I saw this fun a way of coming up with new ideas and see how other people do things. oof I was a super fresh actor at the very beginning of this so there was lots of cuts lots of upset directors we would joke around weren’t very serious, but towards the end we really got into it started enjoying being serious actors and got a lot better at it and not laughing during takes. I was also really really bad at editing in the very beginning I didn’t know what I was doing had never edited anything before everything looks so bad so here’s me drawing an awful picture of me being sad about my bad editing and then I’m erasing it and now I’m drawing a picture of me now but I got a lot better editing I’m still at the best but we have other people to take care of that for us now. q4: no I’m showing how we kind of use different technologies and software and different products to film and create this movie. so for like editing we use our phones and computers not too fancy. there are my lovely drawings. for look sound effects we use iMovie sound effects we would record stuff from YouTube anything that was public domain we were using. we started filming we were still really new production company and we were filming on our phones, here’s my lovely rendition of my phone and all that! all right thanks for watching sorry to anyone who’s British watching this I spelled cheerio wrong but cheerio mate! oh great that’s a lovely butcher of the British flag I’m so so sorry
