script: intro: hi my name is ashley! I recently took up a lead role in a movie called blurred lines today I’m gonna be telling you all about it in the form of a draw my life trend from a few years ago q1: All right that’s me a racing my intro. onto the first question, during this film how did me and my costars challenge conventions? well we definitely broke a lot of gender norms so this is me drawing a sad little girl and a big strong man saying that he’s better and I’m sad but in our movie our lead role was a very strong woman who loved her job and was very committed to solving a case. we also had lots of diversity in this cast. this is me drying out all the different types of people we had. there’s me, i’m irish and mexican, and then Sabrina she’s european, and then Celine, she’s hispanic, and then also mikey, he’s part of the lgbtq+ community. this is me pointing out some of the main challenges that we face including a strong female lead as the main character, and also having some

production blog:waiting to submit

my group is completely finished with the video. we used the changes from the peer review to better the final product. the group is waiting to submit the finished product. a lot of effort was put into making it and we are very proud of it. last minute edits were made, like adjusting volume and blurring people faces out. we wanted to give people privacy and not show their faces. there was only one clip where this was a problem. after that, i had to upload the video to youtube. this was because we need to embed the video to publish it here. this consisted of taking the video from my phone and putting it on my computer. after that, i created a new video in youtube, and filled in all the required information. iadded the title, "media studies final vid" for organizational purposes. once that was complete, i sent the link to the groupchat to let them know it was uploaded. everyone responded, and are all excited to be done. this is the last blog before we submit the final product. it

changes to our film

Image
today, me and the group made all necessary changes to our film. what was changed were suggestions or corrections from the film review. i looked back on the last blog to see what needed to be done. the scenes thatv needed to be shortened were taken care of. for this sabrina took the long scenes and cut them by a few seconds. after that was done, the scenes that needed the audio increaced were fixed. since our friends said it was too quiet, that was able to be fixed. to do this, sabrina had to go to the imovie film eediting. she selected each indivisual scene that neededd fixing and selected the addio option. then the moved the audio bar up to the louder option. once this was done, the group took a break to watch the whole movie. the goal was to check that what was done so far was up to par. once any long clips or quiet audio that we didnt hear or see before were fixed, we continued out editing process. since the overall message of our film was detectible, needed to change anything about

film review

Before the group and I finished editing, I wanted to make sure it made sense with the story that was planned. To achieve this, I talked to other students and peers of mine. This will give me opinions and thoughts about the film. From gathering these ideas, thoughts and opinions, more changes can be made. I tried to get people who I knew are very honest and gives constructive criticism. the majority of my fellow peers said that specific scenes were a bit longer than they should have been. as i looked them over, i agreen woth this statment. While I was reviewing the film multiple times, I did catch some scenes that were longer than intended. Other things that people said about it was that some dialogues were too quiet. this was an inportant thing that needs to be fixed because it's a really crucial point in our film. the good thing was that, when I asked everyone if they understood the meaning or message of the film, they said yes. They also said that for certian sound effects you c

editing our movie pt 2

today the group did the last part of the editing process. this included finishing all suggestions everyone had. sabrina added the musical score and on screen text. the sound levels were adjusted and fitted to match the vibe. we also added and adjusted the on screen text. sabrina and mikey did most of the editing. me and celine added suggestions. sabrina and mikey were trusted to do most of that though. then the on screen text was finished. next the group looked over it to find any mistakes. mikey found a typo in his name. celine found a part of audio overlapping the wrong part of the video. i found a blooper clip accidentally replaced a final clip. once everything was looked over, we were done with the editing portion. all that we need to do is the peer review. for this, we will each choose a seperare person to watch the final product. this will gove maximum results. because there are four seperate people judging the video, we will be sure that there are no mistakes. hopefully, we can
