production blog: costumes/makeup
Before my group and I filmed, makeup and outfits had to be involved. As investigators, celine and I had to dress a little bit professional and formal. celine was wearing a button down that was tucked in with jeans. i wore a button down as well but with baggier jeans. Both of us tried to have a similar concept and match since we were both investigators in the film. my character had to look very exhausted and a bit rough. To accomplish this look, celine helped me to add makeup to my face. i did majority of it but to make it look better she gave her recommendations and helped. When the makeup was done, i had darker under eyes and looked more pale. This was the idea the character was supposed give. The character celine played had to look more put together so she didn’t add any makeup. Sabrina didn’t use any makeup as well. Michael had to use lots of makeup. He wore a white shirt and black pants. Then Sabrina and i used fake blood and splattered it over his shirt. The character Michael plays had killed his wife so he had to look dramatic. Fake blood was used on his shirt and face. i used my makeup to make it look like he had bruises and dark eyes. He looked very tired and stressed. celine also made his knuckles look more red to make it even more dramatic. Sabrina didn’t have to dress formal. she dressed more basic for the film because ahe isnt in many scenes. The idea of doing everyones makeup and the way we made michaels charector realistic was really fun.
