Angles, Shots and Movements
· There are various fast camera movements which add lots of energy to the scene.
· Tracking shots from behind are used to follow a girl running. This makes the audience seem like they are the person chasing the girl.
· Close ups are seen very often to emphasize the character’s reaction/emotion. It is also used to capture lots of detail.
· Birds eye view is used to show two people in a room.
· A point of view shot is used when a character is playing video games, which makes the audience feel like they are in the character’s shoes.

Mis-en-scene
· Some of the character’s makeup is smudged to show that they were crying or were in an incredibly sad state.
· There are many scenes where lights flicker to give a dramatic effect. The lighting is usually dim or bright and flickering.
· The costumes the characters wear is ‘’average’’. Most of them are high schoolers so they dress like typical high schoolers. The ‘’villain’’ however is seen in dark clothes to seem mysterious and hidden.
· In the beginning of the film, it starts to seem innocent and calm. It quickly transitions to an intriguing and surprising scene in which someone gets killed. Later, the high schoolers seem regular and then drama is present throughout the rest of the film. Throughout the film, everyone is figuring out if they can solve this mystery.
Editing
· There are jump cuts to convey distortion.
· Shot reverse shots are used to alternate between characters in a conversation.
· Titles are crucial when editing, the font and font size gives a representation of the film.
Sound
· Diegetic sound is used in establishing shots to build the story world.
· Non-Diegetic sound is used to accentuate feelings of mystery.
· Ambient Sound is used to create mysteriousness ness in unknown places or areas.
· Voiceovers are used in title scenes to further push plot development.
Elements That Appealed
· There are a lot of scenes that use interesting lighting like blues and purple that exemplify the time this movie was set in
· Close-up shots of actor's faces are extremely effective in showing their fearful reaction which the audience will most likely reciprocate
Elements that did not appeal
· This film follows many cliches of old slashers, for example one of the settings being an old summer camp
· Tracking shots are used multiple times throughout the movie, which has been seen in many slashers already which can be seen as cop out, unoriginal, and boring; it also takes away from the mystery
